About

PocketPlay Review started as a group chat between four friends who kept recommending games to each other and arguing about them. At some point we decided to write things down properly, and the site grew out of that habit. Nobody here gets paid to like something.

Every game we cover gets installed, played across several sessions, and poked at until we understand how it really behaves after the shiny opening tutorial. We care about controls, pacing, and whether a title respects your time. If a game only looks good in a trailer, we'll say so.

We pick titles from a mix of reader suggestions, personal curiosity, and whatever is making noise in the mobile space that month. Genre doesn't matter much to us — a clever card game deserves the same attention as a big RPG.

The goal is simple: help you decide what's worth the space on your phone. No hype cycles, no copy-pasted marketing lines, just notes from people who sat down and played.
