A Week With Coin Strike

June 20, 2026 · Lukas Brandt

I didn't expect to spend a whole week with Coin Strike. It's the kind of game you install on a whim, flick a few coins, and forget about. Except I kept opening it, and by day three I was replaying stages to shave sloppy shots off my runs.

The genius is in how little it asks. One finger, drag back, release. The physics are consistent enough that you learn to trust them, so when a shot goes wide you know it was your angle, not the game cheating you. That trust is what keeps you trying again.

Later stages introduce moving bumpers and timed targets, but Coin Strike never buries its core under complexity. Each new idea gets one stage to breathe before it's combined with the last. By the end you're juggling three concepts at once and it feels earned.

My one tip: slow down. The game isn't about fast flicks, it's about reading the board before you touch it. Once I stopped rushing, my scores climbed and the whole thing clicked. It's a small game that respects you, and there aren't enough of those.
