Mobile RPGs That Don't Demand Your Life
Mobile RPGs have a reputation for grind, and some of that is earned. But a growing number of them are built for people who want a real story in bite-sized servings.
The best ones let you pause mid-battle, auto-resolve the trivial fights, and pick the thread back up a day later without re-learning everything. Emberfall Saga, which we reviewed recently, does this well.
Watch out for games that measure progress in daily logins rather than actual adventure. Those aren't RPGs, they're chores with a fantasy skin.
My advice: judge an RPG by its side quests. If the optional content is worth doing, the designers cared, and that care usually runs through the whole thing.
